What KodeKitchen is

KodeKitchen is the online food ordering system built and run by KodeBuilder. It covers the work between a customer placing an order and the food reaching them: the ordering page, the kitchen queue, delivery dispatch and the driver's list of runs. It suits a single restaurant, a small group of locations or a cloud kitchen that wants direct orders for pickup and delivery.

Your own online ordering page

Each restaurant gets a branded ordering page. Customers browse menu categories, search dishes, read allergen notes and add items to the basket, then choose pickup or delivery. The page shows your opening hours and prep time, and ordering follows those hours. Customers can pay on collection or delivery, or by card through your payment provider. The same page works on a phone browser.

Kitchen queue and restaurant workspace

New orders land in the kitchen queue with their status: pending, accepted or out for delivery, and whether they are paid. The workspace refreshes orders every 10 seconds while it is open. It also holds the menu, the team, reports, customer reviews, messages and security settings, so staff do not jump between separate tools.

Restaurant delivery software: dispatch and driver portal

Delivery orders move across a delivery board in three columns: needs a driver, getting ready, and on the road. Staff assign each order to a driver from your own delivery team, and can search by order, guest, postcode or driver. Drivers set themselves on or off duty.

The driver (delivery boy) portal shows each driver the runs assigned to them, with routing to the address. While a driver is on the road, the restaurant can follow the delivery with live GPS tracking. When the kitchen marks an order ready, the driver picks it up and records a short delivery note, such as "left with the guest at the door", as proof of delivery.

White-label app for your restaurant

A white-label food delivery app with your restaurant's name is available, so regular customers can order from their home screen. It uses the same menu, kitchen queue and delivery board as the ordering page.

Who it is for

  • Independent restaurants and cafés that want direct online orders for pickup and delivery.
  • Small restaurant groups that want one way of working across a few locations.
  • Cloud kitchens that run their own delivery team.

KodeKitchen is not a multi-restaurant marketplace and not a point-of-sale system. If you need a marketplace or a workflow built around your business, see food delivery app development.

Pricing and access

KodeKitchen is quoted after a short demo, based on the number of locations, your delivery set-up and whether you want a white-label app. Payment provider charges are billed by the provider. There is no self-serve signup: you request a demo, and the team reviews the details before the restaurant is activated.

KodeKitchen is offered in India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. The payment provider for a live restaurant is confirmed during set-up.
